April 5, 2024, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Orthopedic Dentistry, Orthodontics and Gnathology, Northwestern State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov Roman Aleksandrovich Fadeev visited the Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University (VSMU) as part of cooperation between the two institutions.

Vitebsk State Order of Peoples’ Friendship Medical University is one of the largest higher educational institutions in Belarus, where more than 6 thousand students study. During his visit, Roman Aleksandrovich gave a lecture on the topic “Orthodontic, orthopedic and gnathological aspects of the rehabilitation of patients with dentoalveolar anomalies and muscular-articular dysfunction of the masticatory-speech apparatus. Assessment of the quality of treatment results.”

After this, he conducted a master class at the university teaching clinic, where issues of diagnosis, treatment planning and treatment of patients with dentoalveolar anomalies complicated by partial loss of teeth and dysfunction of the temporomandibular joint were discussed.

During the master class, the possibilities of SCENAR therapy for relieving pain symptoms were demonstrated.

The VI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Prevention in Dentistry”, which was held in St. Petersburg, brought together leading specialists in the field of dentistry from all over the world. One of the key topics of discussion was the role of hardware therapy in the prevention of postoperative complications.

Particular attention was paid to the report of the scientific consultant of ZAO OKB “RITM” Yuri Igorevich Perfilyev and Boris Pavlovich Kulizhsky. They presented the results of studies on the use of the SCENAR device in the prevention of postoperative complications in dentistry, and also considered the prospects for using this device in dental practice.

According to the data presented, the inclusion of the SCENAR device in complex therapy is a safe and effective way to prevent early and late complications in dental surgery. These conclusions were made on the basis of clinical studies. The authors of the report emphasized that the use of the SCENAR device can significantly reduce the risk of developing postoperative complications, such as infections, bleeding and other negative consequences. This opens up new prospects for the use of SCENAR therapy in dentistry.

The discussion of the use of the SCENAR device in dentistry aroused keen interest among the conference participants. Experts asked questions, shared their experiences and expressed their opinions regarding the effectiveness and prospects for using this technology. The conference participants highly appreciated the presented report and expressed hope for the further development and application of new technologies in the field of dental prevention.
